Liberia Ebola Response

ADC is currently responding to the Ebola outbreak in Liberia through community-based
workshops and radio messages in two of Liberia's counties:  Lofa and Maryland.  These
radio spots and training sessions focus on how Ebola is spread, how to prevent
infection, Ebola symptoms and where to go for treatment.   The training is organized
by the Ministry of Education and funded by UNICEF.  The goal is to train all Liberian
government teachers to raise awareness among communities.   The training centers
on preventive measures and also covers how to care for a sick family member if the
Ebola Treatment Unit is full.   The training demonstrates how people can take care of
their relatives, in worse case scenarios, and how to minimize the risk of contamination.
ADC is training public school teachers and its Early Childhood Development center staff.
