|International Literacy Day|
International Literacy Day, held on September 8, was a big success in Liberia. This year's theme was "Literacy:key to good health and well-being." Teachers from Monrovia schools where Africa Development Corps has donated shelves and books marched from the Ministry of Education to City Hall in Liberia's capital city. At City Hall, a presentation was given by Dr. Togbah-Nah Tipoteh, a political activist and former presidential candidate, along with a representative of the Million Book March and various other NGOs. Africa Development Corps has been working in collaboration with USAID and Books for Africa to bring libraries and books to schools in Liberia and provide training in library management.
