First and foremost let us say "Thank You" for your recent work abroad! There is little doubt that you had a significant impact on those whose lives you touched and we hope that you enjoyed your Africa Development Corps experience. Hopefully you have learned a great deal, and in the process grown as an individual. Now it is time to decide what to do next.
Africa Development Corps is committed to providing support to volunteers as they finish their year of service, both while they are in the field and after they return to their homes. We hope to ease your transition back to life at home, wherever "home" is for you. The alumni section of this site provides reflections from former volunteers on their return home, job-hunting tips and web sites, as well as lists of relevant graduate schools and other volunteer programs.
Whatever you decide to do next, we sincerely hope that you take your Africa Development Corps experience with you and use it. It is rewarding for us to see not only the difference Africa Development Corps volunteers have made in the countries in which we operate, but also to see the way the Visions experience has changed the lives of the volunteers themselves. We hope you can find a way to continue improving lives, in your community or abroad, through your energy and compassion.
As an alumnus/alumna of the program, you will always be considered part of the Africa Development Corps family. Please call us if there is anything we can do for you. At the same time, we hope you will consider playing an active role in recruiting for Africa Development Corps and in supporting the organization in the future. Good luck!
